Get
the fuck in, I got to DJ with Napalm Death! This was a fucking brilliant gig,
Daddy Cools is an awesome venue for it, and the turn out for the gig was strong
for a Sunday in Knaresborough with about 130 people in. Fair enough, the club
night afterwards was a wash out, with all but 25 people leaving within 2
minutes of the band leaving the stage and before I'd even played a song, and
another 5 going after coming out of the toilets to find the place suddenly
empty, but that didn't spoil my night, I got to play some of the heavier music
than I can't always get away with at Saving Sunday in-between the bands and
before them (Inhuman Bridal Convulsions & The Archetype Falls both being well
worth seeing and top guys too) and once we gave up on the club night (turning
the music off at 1am instead of the advertised 2am) Napalm Death stuck around
signing stuff and chatting to people and generally being very lovely indeed. The
Saving Sunday hardcore who came down stayed till the bitter end and because of
that got to meet the band which was really good, and I can now add next to "I've
worked with Graeme Park, Phatts & Smalls, Kelly Llorenna out of N-Trance & Adeva"
...Napalm fuckin' Death on my CV. I believe the term I'm looking for is RESULT!
Saving Sunday is safely back in Harrogate for it's
5th Birthday party at XS on Sunday 22nd July!
